Antonio Hernandez

Tony Hernandez began his career in the restaurant industry in 1983 with the Pappas family in Houston, Texas. In 1986, Tony left the Pappas organization to develop Chevy’s Fresh Mex Restaurant in San Francisco. Later that same year, he left the Chevy’s brand to help form the first Uncle Julio’s restaurant in Dallas, Texas. In April of 2007 Tony joined the Mi Chula’s Good Mexican concept, where he currently serves as Culinary Director.

Described by others as highly responsible, fair and a man who values hard work and integrity, Tony plays a critical role in the success of the Mi Chula’s brand. A native of El Salvador, Tony has made his home in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the past 25 years, with his wife and two children. When not at work in the culinary world, Tony enjoys spending time with his family, several sports, a variety of outdoor activities, time on the lake, and to no one’s surprise – cooking.
